Kochi's famous and honest confectionery, "Millet Biscuits," have been combined with a special cream filling by a Kochi-based Western-style confectionery shop (Mon Plaisir) to create "Millet Sandwiches" (July 10, 2026 (Friday)).
"Millet Biscuits" are a specialty biscuit from Kochi Prefecture, featuring a perfect balance of savory bean flavor and salty taste.
Nomura Senbei Processing Store in Kochi, which produces bean snacks and sweet bean paste products, started making them around 1955.
The same pot used for making bean snacks is used to bake the biscuits, creating a fragrant flavor by using the oil infused with the delicious taste of the beans.
The salt sprinkled on top as a finishing touch is sun-dried sea salt.
