Notice of the opening of the new women's restroom at the Kitagawa Hayuma Roadside Station's first parking lot.

The new women's restroom in the first parking lot, which has been constructed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, will be open for use starting tomorrow (Thursday, April 29, 2021).

The new toilets, a complete transformation from the old-fashioned ones, resemble those found in luxury hotels. All stalls are Western-style (equipped with bidet functions), and they also feature multi-functional toilets and dressing rooms, offering every conceivable convenience.

The old women's restroom will be closed to coincide with the opening of the new restroom.

Future construction plans (planned by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as follows):

The following four facilities will cease operations on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Men's restroom

・ Shower room

• Multipurpose restroom

• Parking for people with disabilities

*A temporary toilet will be set up in front of the "Souvenir Shop" at the Kitagawa Hayuma Roadside Station for men.

*The shower rooms are scheduled to reopen around June 2021.

*There are a total of three multipurpose restrooms: "Restroom in Parking Lot 3" and "Two restrooms at Kitagawa Hayuma Restaurant".

The new parking lot and restroom building will include women's restrooms, men's restrooms, restrooms for people with disabilities, a nursing room, an information corner, and parking spaces for people with disabilities, and is scheduled to be open to the public by the end of August 2021.
