Only 6 days left until the "Michi-no-Eki Kitagawa Hayuma Renewal Opening 1st Anniversary Festival"!!
By July 2023, with the support of Nobeoka City and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Kitagawa Hayuma Roadside Station underwent renovations including the creation of a parking lot exclusively for large vehicles, a complete renovation of the parking lot and restrooms, expansion of the restaurant, construction of a new restaurant kitchen, creation of a new takeout corner, expansion of the local products store, and renovation of the bakery and confectionery workshop. To commemorate this, the Kitagawa Hayuma Roadside Station Renewal Open Festival was held for the entire month of July 2023.
This year, to commemorate the first anniversary of the reopening after renovations, we will be holding the "Michi-no-Eki Kitagawa Hayuma Renewal Opening 1st Anniversary Festival" for three days from July 13th (Sat) to 15th (Mon), 2024.
The following events will be held on a rotating basis throughout the period.
- Kitagawa Hayuma Marche Roadside Station (approximately 30 stalls will be set up throughout the period, selling things like grilled sweetfish, fried bread, shaved ice, miscellaneous goods, etc.)
• Stage events (rice cake throwing, Ryucho Taiko drumming group, Miyazaki dog performance, Kawasaka Kagura dance, Unoma Eisa Ryuseikai dance, singing show, dance, brass band performance, etc.)
- A "Garapon lottery" with no losing tickets for restaurant patrons.
- Co-sponsored by Michi-no-Eki Kyoda (Okinawa Prefecture): Gold Barrel Pineapple Fair, featuring the king of pineapples.
・Peach & Grape Fair co-sponsored by Michi-no-Eki Ukiha (Fukuoka Prefecture)
- Tasting and sales event: Miyazaki Prefectural Fisheries Cooperative Association "Tuna Collar"
- Tasting and sales event: Mebaru, a women's fishing village group, presents "Gomadashi," a soul food from Saiki City, Oita Prefecture.
・Sponsored event at the venue: Kitakata Yochimiroya Roadside Station "Kitakata Yochi Marche (approximately 20 vendors in total)"
