Hebesu citrus fruit has arrived!!

"Hebesu" is a type of fragrant citrus fruit native to Miyazaki Prefecture, and is related to yuzu, sudachi (Tokushima Prefecture), kabosu (Oita Prefecture), jabara (Wakayama Prefecture), and shikwasa (Okinawa Prefecture).

~Origin of the name~

Towards the end of the Edo period, a man named Heibei Chosokabe, who was born in Hyuga, Miyazaki Prefecture, discovered a fragrant citrus fruit in a nearby mountain.

Heibei cultivated the plant in his garden, and it became popular, so he began growing seedlings and giving them away to others.

The vinegar was named "Hebesu" after Heibei-san.

~Features~

Heibeizu has a thinner peel compared to other citrus fruits such as yuzu and sudachi, making it easy for women and children to squeeze the juice, and resulting in a very mild acidity.

And above all, the greatest appeal of Heibeizu is its refreshing aroma and excellent functionality.

The abundant fruit juice contains plenty of vitamin C and essential amino acids.
